Holy Family 75th Anniversary

2020 marks the 75th Anniversary of Holy Family Parish. The 75th Anniversary Committee is made up of a group of parishioners who are working hard to make sure our 75th year is one to remember.

  • We will begin our yearlong celebration in January 2020 with a kick of Mass and family friendly party to follow.  Details to come!
  • We will be creating an updated pictorial directory, which will be free to all who participate.  Photos will be taken starting in May of 2020.
  • We have started working on memory boards, which will include pictures of our church, our ministries, and our families.
  • We are working on a commemorative video which will include footage from the past, interviews with parishioners and clergy, and some fun additions from our youth.
  • We are planning a formal Gala to be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, MA.  There will be dinner, music, entertainment and much more. Mark your calendars now, this is not one you want to miss!

Tickets are $100 per person and will include appetizers, dinner, dessert, live music provided by The Waves, and a silent auction.


Theme: The Presence of the Lord


Are there parts of the Holy Family Church that you just love and that bring you closer to Jesus?
Are there times in the day that the beauty of the Church brings you peace?
Are there scenes in Duxbury that remind you of the awesome creative power of the Lord?
Are there images of children, families, or friends that illustrate the love of God?

If interested in capturing the Presence of the Lord through photography, submit your photographs to the Holy Family 75th Anniversary Photography Competition.

  • All entries must be securely framed, wired, and ready for hanging for display.
  • Entries may be in color or black and white.
  • Entries can be of any size but the overall size should not exceed 20” x 24”.
  • Winning photographs will be displayed at the Gala Anniversary Dinner on May 9 and with permission will be placed on display in the Herrick Conference Room after the Anniversary Dinner.
  • Registration forms and entries must be submitted to the Parish Office at Holy Family Church between March 2-April 3 during business hours.
  • Entries should be picked up no later than May 15th.
  • Entries will be on display in the church hall beginning in April up until the Anniversary Dinner.
  • Liability: All due care will be exercised in handling the entries. Photographers are responsible for providing secure framing and suspension materials.
  • Photographers must obtain appropriate permission to display the images of individuals.

  • Provides overall organization and leadership
  • Helps various sub-committees with logistics, planning, and supports each team

Pictorial Directory Sub-Committee

  • Manages the creation of a pictorial directory for the Parish
  • Coordinates scheduling of photography appointments for Holy Family Parishioners
  • Works closely with Life Touch to ensure our vision for the directory is expressed and that this will be something we can utilize for years to come.

History Sub-Committee

  • The History Committee is looking for cherished photos, memories, and moments from our Parishioners.  We would like to share and celebrate the history of Holy Family in an extra special way for this important milestone anniversary.
  • The History Committee is responsible for creating story boards to be displayed at our Gala

Liturgical Sub-Committee

  • The liturgical sub-committee will support our Pastor in organizing special liturgical celebrations that will take place throughout the year.
  • Our Music Director, Mary Keefe, will plan musical accompaniment for these liturgical events.
  • The liturgical Sub-Committee will be organizing our kick-off Mass as well as a closing Mass for our 75th year

Videography Sub-Committee

  • The videography sub-committee will work closely with our videographer to come up with a list of questions and content that will be used for the video
  • This committee will schedule parishioner interviews and reach out to parishioners to set up appointments.
