Hi, I'm Fr. Bob Deehan, the Pastor at Holy Family Catholic church in Duxbury and I'd like to welcome you to our parish. This website is designed to help you learn what we are all about, that is, to help deepen people's relationship with Jesus and his Church through our sacramental and spiritual life, faith formation and service opportunities, and the ways we gather as a community to support and uplift each other. We are the local community of disciples tending to the mission of Jesus in this corner of the vineyard.
Where can you see evidence of God and His goodness?08-04-2019Rev. Robert J. Deehan, V.F.
I hope you've been enjoying the summer whether it's a "stay-cation" here in the beautiful area in which we live or some special "get-away." Having a different schedule, a slower pace of life, time to relax with family and friends, and opportunities to have some adventures traveling, provide an opportunity to reflect on how precious our own life is and the lives of those whom God has blessed us with. It can be a time to make connections with where God is in those relationships, the beauty and goodness found in both the ordinary and the extraordinary around us. What you and I are able to enjoy in what we see and experience is fundamentally a gift not made by human hands. Why not acknowledge that and take time to count your blessings. A wonderful game you can play with your children or grandchildren is: "Where can you see evidence of God and His goodness?" Let their little minds and hearts wonder aloud and celebrate what God is doing in our world and in our lives. Discussions about the marvels of nature and God's loving care for us could become a cause for celebration!READ MORE

Holy Family Parish Blog
Each week a member of the parish staff will be sharing a reflection with the community as we walk our faith journeys together. We hope that through sharing ourselves, our thoughts, our prayers and our feelings with you that we might grow together in the love of Jesus and His Church. Thanks for reading and we hope you join us each week. New reflections will be posted every Thursday.
