Happy Easter!

On this day, we celebrate the amazing truth that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive! What kind of response should we offer to Him for such a gift that He has given to us? Here’s a suggestion: “At the sight of the Lord, the disciples rejoiced. Peace be with you, he said again.” Jn.20:20.

Lord, Jesus, help us never to forget that this is our feast, too. The new life you experienced upon your resurrection is your promise of new life for us as well. Your victory is our victory. Often, we can drift away from you, from your Church and from each other. But your mercy reconciles us and lifts us up. Today we rejoice in the peace you share! Help us to remain close to you, to experience the joy, the peace and the fellowship of this faith community, and to celebrate your love in the family of your Church.

We offer this prayer in Your Holy Name, Jesus. Amen.
