This website has some fun family activities. It is not a Catholic website. Here is a family activity called Bible Detectives.

Parent Session

Welcome Parents, we hope you found our discussion during Feb Bridge helpful.  Each group got through a different amount of the planned session, so as promised, we are going to post the entire session here so you can walk through it when it is convenient for you.

We watched episode #2, The Theology behind Superman.  Check it out and think about how our faith is woven into so many aspects of our society and we may not even realize it!  When we look for God in our lives, we certainly will see him hard at work!

Have a favorite superhero?  See if Fr. Dan has an episode on them!

Now find a quiet place that you can spend about 10-15 minutes in prayer.  We are going to try an exercise called Lectio Divina.  Lectio is a great exercise to meditate and reflect on a specific passage.  The example we have provided for you is from Moses and the Burning Bush, but you can use this with any passage from the Bible.  Click on the link for a brief article from the McGrath Institute for Church Life from Notre Dame University and try Lectio for yourself!

LECTIO DIVINA ARTICLE

Remember the 4 senses of Scripture – What did this passage mean in history? What does it mean in light of Jesus? How does it speak to me today? How does it foreshadow what is to come?
