Mass Reopening FAQ

Do we need to register?
No, at this time we are not requiring registration for Mass.  You are welcome to join us for any Mass.  We have not found that we need to turn people away at this time.  However, without registratio n, Mass is on the basis of availability. Please arrive a few minutes early!

Can I sit in my usual seat?
Sorry, but no one will be able to choose their seat at this time.  We need people to be flexible about where they sit to assure the seating arrangement allows proper social distancing.  Your Seating Ambassador will lead you to your seat for Mass.  People will be seated in every other row and six feet apart from others who are not part of their family.

What if I am not comfortable being in a crowd right now?
That’s ok! We want you to feel comfortable and if that means staying home then please do not feel pressured.  We encourage you not to take risks. The dispensation from the Sunday Mass Obligation remains in effect.  Livestream Mass at Holy Family is available Sunday at 9:00am on our website.  The recording are available on our website and YouTube Channel.  You may want to subscribe to the Holy Family YouTube page for quicker and easier access.

Do I need to remember all the instructions?
No, we have trained people to be there to assist you!  All you need to remember is bring a mask and sanitize your hands before entering church.  You will be receiving instructions when you arrive.

Why can’t we sing?
Singing can spread droplets of moisture from a person’s mouth further than those who are speaking. This requirement may change as restrictions are relaxed.  Stay tuned.

Are the bathrooms available?
Yes. The bathrooms in the church and parish center will be open and available. .

Will the chapel be available for prayer/Mass?
Not at this time.  When daily Mass is eventually resumed, it will take place in the main church.  The confined space in the chapel makes social distancing difficult.
